Post-operative Instructions

After Juvederm Voluma/Volbella/Vollure/XC

The effects of cosmetic facial fillers are immediate. Patients are excited about the transformation they see and often times want to go out, celebrate, and be seen.

Ideally, patients should use caution for the first four days after treatment including:

• Application of ice packs to the injection site intermittently for 2-3 hours following treatment to reduce swelling and discomfort
• Use of Cold Therapy & Tylenol to control Pain and Swelling
• Arnica may be used (topical or oral) if bruising is present or if you are a patient prone to bruising
• If small nodules or bumps develop, you may begin to massage them after 24 hours

Avoid the use of:

• Aspirin
• Ibuprofen
• Advil
• Aleve
• Alcohol

For the first four days:

• Avoid Massaging
• Avoid Smoking
• Avoid Drinking from Straws
• Avoid Whistling
