Facial Scar Revision

A number of patients who have received surgical care for facial soft tissue injuries may present with an unsatisfactory esthetic result. This may result from a number of factors including a delay in initial repair, infection, loss of soft tissues and hypertrophic scar formation (keloid).

Some facial scars may show improvement with time or with the application of silicone sheets and topical medications. Other scars may require surgical revision for an improved esthetic result. Dr. Klausner will review treatment options with you at your initial consultation and will recommend a surgical correction if indicated.
