Cheek Surgery

Malar augmentation is most commonly performed to reshape the size or projection of the cheekbones. This procedure can give added fullness or height to the cheek prominence, allowing for a healthy and more youthful appearance.

Dr. Klausner can reshape your cheekbones by a number of methods. Prosthetic implants are most commonly utilized, but, in select cases, it may be necessary to reposition the bony cheek prominence. The surgery is usually performed through incisions on the inner aspect of the mouth adjacent to the upper molar teeth.

Surgery is most commonly performed in the surgical suite utilizing intravenous anesthesia and recovery takes between three-to-five days.
